This goes back to being authentic, whether you are a leader or not, being authentic to your own values and beliefs is an important component of courage. Having courage is an important component of leadership.
Standing up for what you believe in and align to your values can be difficult. Before you can do this, you need to be clear about what your values are? Do you values align with organization you work for? Are you in a place in your life where you feel confident within yourself, confident enough to stand out?
